5 Ways of Dealing with Anxiety

5 Ways to Deal With Anxiety

Everyone has feelings of anxiety, nervousness, tension, and stress from time to time. Here are 5 ways to help manage them:

1. Become a relaxation expert. We all think we know how to relax. But chilling out in front of the TV or computer isn’t true relaxation. (Depending on what you’re watching or doing, it could even make you more tense.) The same is true for alcohol, drugs, or tobacco. They may seem to relieve anxiety or stress, but it’s a false state of relaxation that’s only temporary. What the body really needs is a relaxation technique — like deep breathing, tai chi, or yoga — that has a physical effect on the mind. For example, deep breathing helps to relax a major nerve that runs from the diaphragm to the brain, sending a message to the entire body to let go and loosen up.

2. Get enough sleep, nourishment, and exercise. Want your mind and body to feel peaceful and strong enough to handle life’s ups and downs? Get the right amount of sleep for your needs — not too much or too little. Eat well: Choose fruit, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains for long-term energy (instead of the short bursts that come from too much sugar or caffeine). And exercise to send oxygen to every cell in the body so your brain and body can operate at their best.

3. Connect with others. Spend time with friends or family. Organized activities are great, but just hanging out works too. Doing things with those we feel close to deepens our bonds, allowing us to feel supported and secure. And the fun and sharing that go with it allow us to feel happier and less upset about things. If you feel worried or nervous about something, talking about it with someone who listens and cares can help you feel more understood and better able to cope. You’ll be reminded that everyone has these feelings sometimes. You’re not alone.

4. Connect with nature. Heading out for a walk in the park or a hike in the woods can help anyone feel peaceful and grounded. (Choose somewhere you feel safe so you can relax and enjoy your surroundings.) Walking, hiking, trail biking, or snowshoeing offer the additional benefit of exercise. Invite a friend or two — or a family member — along and enjoy feeling connected to people as well.

5. Think positive. A great way to keep our minds off the worry track is to focus our thoughts on things that are good, beautiful, and positive. Allow yourself to dream, wish, and imagine the best that could happen.

Its no secret – our eternal beliefs determines our outcomes

It’s no secret that our internal beliefs determine our behaviour and the outcomes we want to achieve in our lives….I truly believe that it all starts with our mindset and a determination to change our old habits, our old beliefs.

Looking at our fears and facing them head on – Consider for a moment the only reason we would say “I can’t” is because of fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of looking bad, fear of pain, fear of whatever, but fear nonetheless – old habits, old beliefs imprinted in our sub-concious minds. Old habits are hard to change as they are driven by an outdated mindset.

Taking action is the key here. If you want to change your mindset in order to change your life, you need to make it happen –

1: identify your goals, needs, wants, outcomes

2: Create actions to accomplish the results you desire

3: Very important – examine your beliefs about the actions you are taking as they may be holding you back

Girls Compete, women Empower

Girls Compete, Women Empower!
Women should build each other up, support each other and not compete against each other! We live in a crazy world where stress is thrown at us from every angle, so nurturing networks outside of the family unit are a necessity
In my opinion, the past plays a role in scarcity minded women where we have perceived that we are the minority and that our resources are dependent on others. Presently we are still learning to accept one another, to accept that it is no longer necessary to cat-fight for our place in society or be opportunistic and greedily shove one another out of the way in an effort to be seen or heard.
In essence, I believe we are realising that the resentment and belief that we harvest against other women’s successes and achievements eroding our own is still leaving our power in the hands of others
Imagine for a moment what it would be like if we celebrated instead of lamented, if we supported instead of disapproved, denounce and deprecate.
Imagine for a moment if we could see other women’s accomplishments as a modelling mirror of what our achievements could reflect or as examples of our glorious diversity as apposed to a reflection of lack and scarcity.
Our ultimate goal is to succeed in all we set out to do, and we need not go this alone.
What if we choose to see each other’s greatness, that did not involve physical appearance and fashion labels?
What if we choose to celebrate our unique ideas of womanhood, motherhood, sisterhood rather than seeing these as impediments to our dreams?
What if we choose reach out, hold hands, focus on inclusion rather than exclusion?
What if we choose to make it our mission to rather tap into our core motivation, unite our focus like laser lights in the right direction of abundance, of our desired success and uplift each other as we reach our destined outcomes with support and inspirational satisfaction?
What if ….Empowering Someone else Empowers YOU?
It is almost always true that everyone we meet is fighting a battle we know nothing about. Burdens are always halved when we have a strong women role model to depend on – Never say it will not happen to you!
Remember that beautiful minds and open hearts inspire others to make positive changes. When women authentically support one another incredible things happen. It is definitely what this world is more in need of.
Just saying…… GlendaM

Another happy client!

This is why I am passionate about what I do!!!
“Hi Glenda
This is a message of THANK YOUs!
Firstly and most importantly Thank You for running this brilliant program and for your excellent guidance and support. Over the years I have tried so many ways to loose weight unsuccessfully and dishearteningly, but I have never truly felt so confident and positive as I do with this program. I know I will succeed this time, so again Thank You.
Secondly Thank You for the photos. I can’t believe I forgot to take some. I think I was just totally focused on doing everything right! I will now take some regularly.
Thirdly Thank You for the weekly emails of encouragement. They are great as an extra boost.
I feel really good after today’s session. I’m just about to make a smoothie!
It’s no coincidence that last night I found the attached on Google+. Thought you might like it! I’m going to put it on my fridge. Step 1 complete, step 2 underway and step 3 my goal for next September!
I will keep in touch over the next 4 weeks and send a menu sheet through weekly.
Have a great weekend and see you in 4 weeks.
With very best regards”
Ally
